Men's Captain - Joseph FeyertagCourse: MSc Comparative Social Policy Duties: The role of the men's captain is to organize training, select crews, and keep the squad engaged in rowing. With the aid of the coach, the captain designs a training regime for the squad that is aimed at achieving the best results for the crews over the Oxford rowing year. Development Officer - Alison BuckleyCourse: Master of Business Administration Duties: The role of development officer entails being responsible for maintaining communication between our alumni and, potentially, corporate sponsors. Publicity Officer - Susan PortalupiCourse: MSc Evidence Based Social Intervention Duties: The role of publicity officer is to market the club externally and internally at Green Templeton by sending out regatta dates, race results, and upcoming social events. Additionally the publicity officer is in charge of maintaining the GTBC website, keeping the notice board at the Stables Bar up to date, and arranging the mounting of photographs and blades onsite and in the club room at Longbridges Boathouse. Social Secretary - Becky WallerCourse: DPhil Social Intervention Duties: The role of social secretary entails overseeing the social life of the boat club. The social secretary organises a dinner after each of the three main Oxford-based regattas to celebrate the hard work and success of rowers, coaches and coxes. The social secretary initiates the organisation of crew dates with other colleges and also organises social events held within the college, such as Boat Club cocktails. Captain of Coxes - Anna FrancisCourse: 4th Year Medicine Duties: As captain of coxes it is my responsibility to organise the registration of any new coxes and to help teach them the rules of the river, as well as change the status of those already holding licences. During outings it is up to me to ensure we are safe on the water, and it is the cox's duty to check the boats conform to OUBC rules during races.
