Two GTBC wins at Cambridge '99 Autumn Regatta!

GTBC concluded their impressive season of external summer regattas last weekend at the Cambridge ’99 RC Autumn Regatta. The club sent three crews resulting in two victories!
In the semi-final of the IM3 4+, the men’s crew currently training for the Head of the Charles beat Trinity Hall (Cambridge) by close to two lengths, advancing them to the final. After an early lead, the crew consisting of Eduardo Lopez, Tyler Lane, Andrew Symington, Henno Martin (stroke), and Susan Portalupi (cox) stayed ahead of their Boston/Lincoln competition to win the final by over a length!

Following a powerful start in the IM3 8+ straight-final, the men’s crew consisting of Eduardo Lopez, Tyler Lane, Nathan Hinton, Kristian Klausen, Andrew Symington, Andrew Craig, Jonathon Ross, Henno Martin (stroke), and Susan Portalupi (cox) stayed convincingly ahead of their competition over the duration of the 600m course to beat Poplar Blackwell for the win!
After dominating their IM3 4+ semi-final race against Peterborough City, the GTBC women’s crew advanced to the final where they lost after a close race to Wolfson College (Oxford).
